THE GOOD SHEPHERD

 PSALMS 23
Psalms of David
 1 The Lord is my shepherd, I lack nothing.
    He makes me lie down in green pastures,
he leads me beside quiet waters,
    he refreshes my soul.
He guides me along the right paths
    for his name’s sake.
Even though I walk
    through the darkest valley,
I will fear no evil,
    for you are with me;
your rod and your staff,
    they comfort me.
You prepare a table before me
    in the presence of my enemies.
You anoint my head with oil;
    my cup overflows.
Surely your goodness and love will follow me
    all the days of my life,
and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever

One thing about David is that often he gets overlooked as a shepherd! Many people want to lead in this generation, but don't want to labour for those that they lead! We are all leaders in our own ways some are parents, supervisors, managers, CEOs, Pastors, among others. If you have distance with those that you lead you will always have confusion in the flock and the enemy will always see a easy way in! Leaders don't lead to have the followers to figure it out, but rather to guide, direct, and protect! David took his job of a shepherd so serious that after a great moment in his life he went back to be with them! The reason why he had the testimony of defeating a lion and a bear is because he was there! God is raising up leaders that will take there title more serious than personal achievements! People are always more important than the title!. in all what we do we should always remember that their is no shepherd like Jesus. He alone is the true shepherd and we will never be disappointed in our walk with HIM.
