DIVINE SETTLEMENT

Last night was listening to apostle Karis speak about divine settlement over the radio and I cant explain how inspiring His teachings were. Here are some of the things I picked from his teachings hope you too can find it useful in your lives.
Dimensions of settlement
God's settlement/arrangement
God's settlement is also called divine settlement. 1 Corinthians 2:9 says that “No one has ever seen or heard…never so much as imagined…what God has arranged for those who love Him.” Most of the time as Christians we have been wanting something NOW which prevents us from receiving God’s good gifts at the time He knows is best. Like a child too eager for a birthday or Christmas, we have tried to take over for God and supply our wants in our time. We read about Abraham being promised a family that would be uncountable or the Israelites entering a land flowing with milk and honey. While God’s plan was ultimately achieved, His people suffered for trying to make things happen on their schedule. But His discipline blesses us and prepares us for an even ‘better’ future. God loves it when we humble ourselves and seek His heart and His purposes for which which He has arranged for us.
Satanic settlementGod’s Word is like a sword. It cuts through the evil plans of the devil. James 4:7 says to RESIST the devil, and he will flee from you!
Jesus warns us about Satan.... "The thief comes not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I have come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly. I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd gives his life for the sheep." (John 10:10-11)What would he like to steal? Anything and everything that will lead you to Jesus--to Gods love. Satan steals love from people. If we will open our eyes we will see it everywhere around us. Broken families, abuse, hatred, cruelty, murder. The Enemy would like us to think that there is no love in the world. He would like to steal from us even the ability to love and be loved.
Human settlement
The story of Joseph and potiphar best explains human arrangement. the difference between God's settlement and human settlement is that where as, the grace of God can not take you where it can not sustain you human settlement can not do the same. human beings can exalt you to a higher position of power but they can not sustain you there forever, it is the same people who will organize for your downfall.  Genesis 39 talks about the story of Joseph and potiphar, 'The Lord was with Joseph so that he prospered, and he lived in the house of his Egyptian master. When his master saw that the Lord was with him and that the Lord gave him success in everything he did, Joseph found favor in his eyes and became his attendant. Potiphar put him in charge of his household, and he entrusted to his care everything he owned..." However, after what happened between Joseph and Potiphar's wife, Joseph was put to prison by the same person who entrusted everything to him.19 When his master heard the story his wife told him, saying, “This is how your slave treated me,” he burned with anger. 20 Joseph’s master took him and put him in prison, the place where the king’s prisoners were confined.
Requirements for divine
settlement
You must be born again
For one to experience divine settlement he/she must be born again because those who are born again belong to the family of God. ROMANS 8:14," For those who are led by the Spirit of God are the children of God.'
John 1:12 says,"Yet to all who did receive him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God.
You must believe in His word
We must believe in the word of God for it to have impact in our lives. HEBREW 4:12,"For the word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart. John 5:24 "I tell you the truth, whoever hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life and will not be condemned; he has crossed over from death to life. the word of God also says that it is with your heart that you believe and are justified by faith in Jesus Christ and not by works.
